How to Calibrate the Pressure Indicator:
Assemble the pressure indicator and handpump as shown below
1. Close the block valve on the foot (impulse piping) of the pressure indicator.
2. Remove the impulse piping pressure indicator.
3. Connect the handpump output to the input pressure indicator.
4. Provide input pressure step by step 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, then record the results on the test form as As Found UP data.
5. Provide input pressure step by step 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0%, then record the results on the test form as As Found DOWN data.
6. Calculate the error value
Formula :
Error = actual appointment – standard X 100%
Range
7. If necessary, do a zero adjustment.
8. Provide input pressure step by step 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, then record the results on the test form as As Left UP data.
9. Provide input pressure step by step 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0%, then record the results on the test form as As Left DOWN data.
10. If there are findings, provide notes on the test form.
11.When finished, put the pressure indicator back on the impulse piping.
12. Open the block valve.
